Sunset from Skinner Butte as seen on January 22, 2010
I was feeling a little artsy and found myself up at Skinner Butte just north of downtown Eugene, Oregon. I was shooting some photos of the sunset and an old man that was very social came up with his little point and shoot camera and started a conversation with me about photography and techniques on photography. It was great conversation, and the man was very nice. We continued to have conversation, and at the same time I noticed another photographer.
Some time passed and I eventually had conversation with the other photographer. Another very nice fellow. It wasn’t a typical conversation. It started off with him introducing himself, and I introduced myself as just “Will” instead of my first and last name. He went on to ask what my last name was with a curious look on his face. I explained that I was “Will Foster.” He went on to explain that he had heard of me, and my photography. We found out that we knew some of the same people, and such.
Such a huge encouragement to go along with the huge amount of encouragement I have been receiving lately.

That sky is EPIC. The transition from the orange to blue and clouds are amazing.
